Generally speaking, I leave watch repairing to specialists but I do find watches collectable and here are a few that I currently have for sale:
Image 1 shows my full size Omega Seamaster chronometer (ref: 2598.80.00). 41.5mm diameter stainless steel case with helium valve and blue wavy dial and contrasting stainless steel bezel on a stainless steel bracelet with Omega's rhodium plated 1164 caliber automatic self-winding mechanical chronograph movement with date. Power reserve: 44 hours. As fresh as the day it was made this is a chunky man's watch with a domed, anti reflective, scratch-resistant crystal. Water resistant to 300 metres (1,000ft). All authentic with presentation case, papers and original purchase receipt when new. PRICE: £1,200.
Image 2 is my mid-size Omega Seamaster chronometer (ref: 2551.80.00). 36.25mm dia stainless steel case with helium valve, blue wavy dial and matching bezel on a stainless steel bracelet with Omega's rhodium plated 1120 caliber automatic self-winding mechanical chronograph movement with date. Power reserve: 44 hours. Domed, anti reflective, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. Water resistant to 300 metres (1,000ft). All authentic and original. PRICE: £850.
Image 3 is a solid sterling silver period "trench" watch with fixed silver wire lugs. The hallmarked case shows that this was a Swiss case imported in 1917/18.The swiss movement has 15 jewels, a compensated bi-metallic balance wheel and a damaskened bridges. The red 12 is typical of an officer's First World War "trench" watch to orientate the wearer who would have been used to a pocket watch where the winder is in the 12 position rather than on the right. An odd feature is that it appears to have been made for the right wrist, not the left. PRICE: £150.
Image 4 is a solid 9ct Gold vintage cushion shape wristwatch in good working order with fixed strap lugs and solid gold back. Hallmarked 1932 in Chester, both the Slolrace British made case and the 15 jewel Swiss Bernex mechanical 30 hour movement are in very good condition. Easy to read, black Arabic numerals on a white enamel dial with subsidiary seconds hand dial at the six o'clock position. 30mm wide (plus crown) and a slim 8mm thick. PRICE £300.
Image 5 is a very large and heavy Breitling replica watch featuring Bentley Motors on the black dial and caseback. PRICE: £125
